Notice Under the Americans with Disabilities Act

In accordance with the requirements of title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), the Missouri State Highway Patrol will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities.

The ADA requires that reasonable accommodations be provided to qualified individuals with disabilities. This law defines disabilities as physical or mental impairments that substantially limit one or more of a person's major life activities (e.g. walking, hearing, speaking, seeing, reading, or writing). The Missouri State Highway Patrol will provide reasonable and appropriate accommodations to qualified candidates who have documented disabilities and demonstrate a need for an accommodation.

The ADA does not require the Missouri State Highway Patrol to take any action that would fundamentally alter the nature of its programs or services or impose an undue financial or administrative burden.

To request an accommodation, please complete the application below and mail to:

Missouri State Highway Patrol
Attn: Human Resources ADA Coordinator
P.O. Box 568
Jefferson City, MO 65102.

Or, email the completed application to equalopportunity@mshp.dps.mo.gov.

Complaints that a program, service, or activity of the Missouri State Highway Patrol is not accessible to persons with disabilities, or questions regarding ADA, should also be directed to the Human Resources ADA coordinator, at (573) 526-6117 or equalopportunity@mshp.dps.mo.gov.
